Videoke Buddy

Kombanwa Mina-san!!!

Today, I'd like to talk about my videoke buddy Rachelle. I met her during our training for Dell Technical Support. At first, as to be expected, we didn't talk much because I don't like approaching people. And I don't open up to all that easily. Often times, I wait until I'm comfortable with the person before I tell stories about myself. Anyway, as the training and introduction progressed we still didn't talk much. Then the time came when the moderator of the training asked us to do an activity. It was like a guessing game but with pictures of actors, actresses, and singers in the childhood years. We had to guess the name of the person whose baby picture is shown in the projector. Out of nowhere, Rach and I started guessing random names and made fun of the pictures. For instance, there was this picture of a boy who had this thick long hair and had bangs. We answered, "He-Man" because he really looked like a small version of He-Man only to find out that it was Brad Pitt. All throughout the game, we made fun of every picture that was presented to us; that then lead to our friendship. We have been friends since then.

One day, Rach asked me to go singing with her in a karaoke. Since Timezone was on my way home, I conceded. We had my Timezone card loaded and began to sing song after song after song. During the whole time we were singing, we were laughing because of our antics. I would sometimes sing song that are so high that is beyond my range that I would be shouting instead. The same goes for her. It was like our own private Comedy bar. Then when we hear a song from the other cubicle that we are familiar with, we would sing it. It was our SHINING MOMENT, I should say. There were also instances that we would plan a theme for our videoke trip. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed every minute of it. The craziest thing we did was drink a very cold beverage after all the singing. We were really crazy. In fact, by the time we decided to go home, my voice was already hoarse while hers was unaffected. So unfair! What a cheat! Just kidding... Well, I can't wait till we would do it again though we just had a session Monday this week. Crazy aren't we?!?! Well, the next time I write about Rachelle, it will really be about her... That is if I learn more about her. That's all for now! JA!!!
